Victoria records 19 new local coronavirus cases as state enters second day of lockdown
Victoria has recorded 19 new local coronavirus cases as the state begins its second day of lockdown.
All cases have been linked to existing clusters, the state's Department of Health says.
Two of the cases included in Saturday's tally are school teachers at Bacchus Marsh Grammar, whose infections were announced by the school yesterday.
Authorities were able to administer 19,237 vaccine doses on Friday, while 47,606 tests were conducted in a bid to keep up with "fleeting transmission" of the virus.
No cases were found among travellers in hotel quarantine.
On Friday a number of Tier 1 exposure sites were listed, included the Percy Beames Bar at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, where a number of people are believed to have contracted the virus at an AFL match.
A Rugby Union match between the Wallabies and France has also been listed as a Tier 2 exposure site.
